About this role

Serve with purpose. Grow through community. No two days are the same at Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton and Riverstone Swimming Centre. As an Activity Assistant (Pool Lifeguard), you supervise pool areas, monitor customer safety and respond quickly when incidents occur. You help create a safe, welcoming environment where people can exercise, learn new skills and enjoy their time at the centre. You actively supervise swimmers, carry out water quality testing, complete safety inspections and document incidents, first aid treatments and pool rescues. You support the Keep Watch @ Public Pools program, set up and pack down equipment for aquatic activities, and maintain high standards of cleanliness across the facility. You also assist customers, respond to enquiries and work with colleagues to ensure pool spaces and programs operate safely and efficiently. This casual role offers shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. You receive ongoing training to maintain your qualifications, build your skills and strengthen your experience in a team-focused environment. This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, stays alert in a fast-paced setting and takes responsibility for safety. You communicate confidently, remain calm under pressure and take pride in providing a positive experience for every visitor.
