Administration Officer - Intake Progress with purpose at one of Australia’s largest health care providers Get ahead with salary packaging, benefits and professional development in a supportive team environment Permanent, full time opportunity Please apply via the Calvary People Platform About the roleTo manage the intake of all appropriate referrals from various sources, including My Aged Care (MAC), clients, families, and healthcare professionals, via MAC portal, EMR, telephone, email, fax, mail, and in person. Responsibilities include assessing the suitability, relevance, and appropriateness of referrals to establish referral priorities across disciplines, in accordance with organisational policies. The role also involves reviewing and recording referral details and related client information in computerised databases such as MAC, EMR, and iPM.Additionally, the position entails providing information about other available services, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining communication with aged care facilities by emailing weekly vacancy updates. The role includes liaising with social workers regarding vacancies, offering guidance and support to clients seeking respite or permanent placements, and assisting with medical correspondence to review, prepare, and dispatch communications to relevant recipients.Role criteria: Proven experience working in an ACAT/community services/ health environment Demonstrated sound knowledge of Commonwealth Government Aged Care Legislation, My Aged Care and Commonwealth funded aged care services Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues relating to frail older clients with complex health problems and other community support needs Ability to work within a team, as well as autonomously Demonstrated high level verbal communication skills Proven ability to determine priorities and levels of urgency of work in a demanding multidisciplinary environment with minimal supervision Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook For further information please contact Saadia Munir, Team Leader on saadia.munir@health.nsw.gov.au Application closing date: 28/08/2026 Why work for Calvary?At Calvary, our staff matter.
