The Opportunity
As an APS4 Finance Officer within the Financial Operations team of this Federal Government agency, you will have the opportunity to apply your existing skills in a supportive and engaging environment while continuing to learn and grow professionally.
This opportunity offers:

• A 3-to-12-month labour hire contract with a strong possibility of extension or permanency
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
• Day to day accounts payable, accounts receivable and receipting activities
• Processing financial transactions and travel related activities
• Credit card management and treasury duties
• Assisting with month end activities, bank reconciliations, journal entries and reporting
• Interpreting and providing advice to staff on travel entitlements in accordance with current legislation, policies and procedures
The Ideal Person
To be considered, candidates must be Australian Citizens with existing experience in accounts payable, ideally gained within a large commercial organisation or government environment.
You are likely to have the following experience:
• Experience working as a Finance Officer in accounts payable, with pride in the quality and accuracy of your work
• Experience using TechnologyOne, SAP or similar financial management systems
A high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role. An accounting or finance related qualification will be highly regarded.
