The Opportunity
As a Finance Officer, you’ll support the delivery of core financial functions.
This is an initial 12-month hourly rate contract with the possibility of extension based on performance.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Performing reconciliations and supporting treasury activities
• Ensuring payment deadlines and compliance requirements are met
• Supporting external reporting obligations and financial control
• Responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders
• Identifying potential issues and escalating them promptly to management
The Ideal Person
You are an experienced Finance Officer, Bookkeeper, or Assistant Accountant with a strong background in accurately processing financial operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card administration, treasury, and other core financial processes.
Ideally, you will bring:
• At least two years’ experience in a finance administration or financial operations environment
• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
• A sound understanding of financial and management accounting principles
• Strong communication skills
• Experience using TechnologyOne will be highly regarded
You can come from a range of backgrounds, including:
• An APS4 Finance Officer with experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit card processes
• A high-performing finance or accounts officer from the private sector, with hands-on experience in financial administration, seeking to move into the APS
Australian citizenship is required.
Salary / Rate
• $46/hr – $50/hr + Super
• 12-month hourly rate contract
