About this role

As an APS5 Learning and Development Officer, you will support the design and delivery of learning that enables frontline staff to perform effectively in a dynamic service delivery environment. Reporting to the APS6 Learning and Development Manager and working closely with subject matter experts and operational teams, you will deliver practical, accurate and user focused learning aligned to business needs.

This role supports staff operating in fast paced and at times psychosocially demanding environments, and contributes to building capability, confidence and resilience across frontline teams. It requires strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to respond to competing priorities.

Responsibilities of the APS5 Learning and Development Officer may include:

• Coordinate the development and maintenance of learning resources ensuring content is accurate, relevant, accessible and aligned to business requirements and capability needs. • Support the delivery of learning activities through facilitation of training sessions (face-to-face and virtual), ensuring a consistent and engaging learner experience. • Apply quality learning principles in practice by supporting the development and delivery of learning that is purposeful, user focused and suitable for the operating environment. • Monitor and manage learning development enquiries and communication channels including shared mailboxes, ensuring timely, accurate and customer-focused responses to stakeholders. • Collect, maintain and report on learning data including participation, completion and knowledge check results, to support reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement. • Support continuous improvement of learning products and delivery by identifying trends, feedback and opportunities to enhance content, accessibility and effectiveness. • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships working collaboratively with subject matter experts and business areas to support the development and delivery of learning solutions. • Contribute to administrative and coordination activities that support the effective delivery of learning and development services across the branch.
