About this role
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Business Process Officer is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, improvement and implementation of business processes that enable the effective delivery of employment services.
The role works closely with operational, program and policy stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, support change initiatives, manage project activities and deliver evidence-based outcomes that enhance business performance, service delivery and customer experience. This role supports staff operating in fast-paced and at times psychosocially demanding environments, and contributes to building capability, confidence and resilience across frontline teams.
Responsibilities of the Business Process Officer may include:
• Analyse, map, document and redesign business processes to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic, operational and service delivery outcomes. • Develop and maintain process documentation, including process maps, models, procedures, guidance materials and business artefacts. • Lead and support business process improvement initiatives, including change management activities, benefits realisation and the implementation of sustainable business improvements. • Collect, organise and analyse data along with research and stakeholder information to support decision-making, reporting and continuous improvement activities. • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including operational, program and policy areas, to support program delivery and business improvement outcomes. • Manage and coordinate projects and streams of work, including planning, monitoring progress, and managing risks, issues, dependencies and priorities. • Prepare high-quality written materials, including briefings, reports, business cases, governance papers and other corporate documentation. • Provide specialist advice and guidance, contribute to capability development, and promote innovation, continuous improvement and best practice across the business.
