Community Waste Administration Officer (Part-Time) Narre Warren Location | $48ph + Super | 24 Hours Per Week

This is a part-time contract role commencing 1 September 2026 through to 30 November 2026 , offering 24 hours per week We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Community Waste Administration Officer to support a local government waste services team during an exciting community initiative.

About the Role Working closely with the Waste Administration Team and Customer Service, you will provide administrative and community engagement support to ensure the successful delivery of the new glass bin rollout across the municipality.

Key Responsibilities • Support the delivery of the new glass bin rollout initiative • Communicate waste and sustainability initiatives to members of the community • Manage customer enquiries, requests and job processing activities • Input and maintain accurate information within Council databases • Format correspondence, reports and Council documents in line with corporate style guidelines • Maintain document templates and ensure compliance with corporate formatting requirements • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Waste Services and Customer Service teams • Provide general administrative support as required

About You • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy when working with documents and data • Strong administrative and data entry skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Confidence using computer systems and databases • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently • Previous experience in administration, customer service or local government environments will be highly regarded
