Are you an experienced paediatric nurse looking for an adventure with purpose?

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Paediatric Outreach Service to join our dedicated team based in Cairns. The position offers the opportunity to provide expert paediatric outreach services across the Torres and Cape region, supporting improved health outcomes for children, young people and their families living in some of Australia's most remote communities.

This is a rewarding role for a clinician who is passionate about health equity, culturally safe care, and improving access to specialist paediatric services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.

Travel Requirements

This is a genuine outreach position with regular travel throughout remote and very remote Torres Strait and Cape York communities - travel will be on a needs basis.

The successful applicant must be willing and able to undertake travel using a variety of transport methods, including small aircraft, helicopter and ferry services, four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles, commercial flights and road transport. Travel may involve overnight stays in remote communities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an experienced paediatric nurse with strong clinical expertise and advanced practice skills.

• Is passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.

• Demonstrates excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Is resilient, adaptable and thrives in dynamic and remote healthcare environments.

• Base salary comprising between $5,390.40 - $5,852.40 p.f and super contribution of 12.75%
