JOB DETAILS Permanent, Full-Time 35 hours, 5 days/week $135,771.11 - $148,770.40 + Super + Council lease back vehicle/vehicle allowance Moore street

JOB DESCRIPTION Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Council's civil infrastructure capital works programs, including roads, drainage and floodplain assets. The role oversees project lifecycle activities including planning, design, delivery and evaluation, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with legislative and technical standards. You will drive asset management strategies, governance, risk and financial controls, while building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring high-quality, sustainable infrastructure outcomes. The position also plays a key leadership role in team development, continuous improvement, and long-term infrastructure planning.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with eligibility for professional membership. Relevant certifications include White Card and Class C Driver License.

• Extensive experience delivering civil infrastructure projects and programs within time, budget, and quality requirements across government and/or private sectors.

• Strong experience in developing infrastructure strategies, budgets, policies, risk management and asset management plans.

• Strong knowledge and application of grants, contribution plans and other reserves in a government environment.

• Proven contractor management, procurement, and tendering expertise.

• Demonstrated leadership experience supervising, developing and coordinating technical and project teams.

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards, project management, WHS, risk management, and EEO principles.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and engage diverse stakeholders.
