About this role
We are seeking highly motivated and innovative Data Analysts to join our Compliance Engagement Group, Frontline Operations and Smarter Data Program business areas.
As a Data Analyst, you will use your expertise in data analysis, modelling techniques, and business knowledge to address business problems and support data driven decision making.
You will be responsible for developing complex data analytic solutions and responding to ad hoc requests for data and information to support the operation and delivery of business outcomes.
You will coordinate the development and implementation of technical data solutions by applying analytic techniques and methods.
You will be highly skilled in using a variety of tools, languages and technical knowledge to research, extract, analyse and interpret data and results with a strong commitment to quality assurance, re-usability and curation of data sources and solutions.
You may be required to lead and manage a team, being responsible for reviewing the quality of their work.

Our ideal candidate: • has advanced technical proficiency and judgement in the use of data tools, scripts and languages (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Python, R or similar), and applies these to design, deliver and oversee robust analytical solutions in a workplace environment • provides leadership in the analysis, interpretation and integration of complex datasets across enterprise environments (e.g. cloud, on premises or hybrid), delivering high quality outputs (e.g. reports, dashboards or data products) that inform strategic and operational decision-making • applies critical, analytical and lateral thinking to identify systemic issues, solve complex problems and drive improvements to business outcomes through data, and communicates with influence by translating complex insights into clear, compelling messages and negotiating with business partners to shape decisions and priorities • takes accountability for the quality, integrity and governance of analytical outputs, including implementing and overseeing quality assurance practices, testing frameworks, and use of version control tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git, GitLab) • leads and develops teams delivering data and analytics work, setting direction, allocating work, building capability and fostering a high-performing, client-focused culture • works collaboratively with business partners to deliver contemporary, professional and outcome-focused services.
Qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics or industry certifications (e.g. Azure, AWS, Power BI, Teradata) will be highly regarded but not essential.
