In this role, you'll: Assist the estimating team and Project Managers by preparing high quality cost estimates for transport related projects and maintenance works. Review project requirements, scope of works, risk assessments, design information, and schedules, to best inform estimates and enhance estimate accuracy. Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating, procurement, and project lifecycles by providing support with project performance reviews, lessons learnt, reporting, and conducting market research to identify innovative practices and cost efficiencies to ensure best practice and competitive estimates. Collaborate, develop, and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to contribute to the teams ability to remain up to date on market rates, commercial innovations, and benchmark costs effectively. This role is based in North Region - Newcastle (location negotiable within the Region) For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack. About you You have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as civil/structural engineering, project management, quantity surveying or equivalent experience. You are willing to travel on occasions and be away from home at times to facilitate project needs. You have experience in the field of transport infrastructure construction, or maintenance. Ideally across roads and bridges. You have technical capabilities in understanding project requirements, interpreting design drawings, schedules, and understanding cost estimations. You communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others, are analytical and detail orientated, enjoy problem solving and delivering results, and act with integrity.
