About this role

We have multiple finance and accounting opportunities within the federal government for experienced accountants or finance officers.

If you hold an AGSVA clearance, that’s highly valuable.

Additionally, we have several accountant and senior tax accountant roles within professional accounting firms for qualified professionals seeking permanent, full-time opportunities.

We are currently recruiting for non-ongoing roles, labour hire contracts, and Section 26 transfers within the federal government, as well as permanent, full-time positions in the private sector.

The Role

Some of our current accounting and finance opportunities across federal government agencies include:

• APS4 Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) as a labour hire contract

• APS5/6 Tax Accountant as a non-ongoing, Section 26 transfer for existing APS employees or 12-month labour hire contract with possible permanency

• APS6 Internal Budget Officer / Project Accountant / Capital Budget as a non-ongoing contract

• APS6/EL1 Project Accountant as a Section 26 transfer for multiple vacancies

• APS6 Asset Accountant as a Section 26 transfer for multiple vacancies

• APS6 Finance Business Partner as a Section 26 transfer

• EL1/EL2 Management Accountant as a non-ongoing contract or Section 26 transfer

Please note that some roles may require specific working rights and/or an AGSVA security clearance.

The Ideal Person

You have at least one to three years of experience in an accounting or finance role within the public or private sector in Australia.

Known for your strong financial expertise, you also possess clear communication skills and analytical skills.

You have developed a solid understanding in at least one of the following areas:

• Financial Accounting

• Financial Operations (AP, AR, Credit Card, reconciliations)

• Treasury

• CBMS

• Finance Systems (SAP, TechOne orTM1)

• Finance Business Partnering

• Management Accounting

• Internal Budget

• External Budgets

• Costing

• Systems Accounting

• Financial Framework

• Internal/External Audit

• Cost Recovery

Salary / Rate

• $80k – $145k + 15.4% Super for non-ongoing contracts or permanent full-time roles

• $45/hr – $80/hr + Super for labour hire contracts
