What you'll be doing * The virtual Clinical Nurse Consultant will be responsible for expert clinical organization, coordination, leadership and consultancy services within mental health specialty across multiple service groups, target populations and health care professionals within Far West Local Health District (FWLHD). * Provides clinical expertise and advanced clinical leadership through collaboration and consultancy within a multidisciplinary team framework. * Provides complex clinical nursing services to patients/clients/carers * Supports the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol assigned Clinical Nurse Educators with the development and implementation of educational resources for patients/clients and their families What's on Offer Salary packaging (pay less tax!) How to apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possibly: * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience including 3 at least years' experience in the specialty and post graduate qualifications relevant to the specialty * Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of MHDA including the ability to facilitate professional development of employees and guide staff to analyze problems and apply a range of solutions. * Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and advanced information technology skills to provide complex consultancy and influence innovative clinical practice. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team including external organizations. * Demonstrated ability to identify education needs and support the development of educational resources for patients/clients and healthcare professionals. * Proven ability to create and maintain a positive and just workplace culture with the ability to clearly articulate and achieve a vision for a program/ service. * Demonstrated ability to work within Frameworks of Clinical Governance to facilitate clinical safety in MHDA service delivery. * Demonstrated ability to implement change and develop direction in clinical practice through quality, continuous improvement, management, and research.
