About this role

Serve with purpose. Grow through community. Kids Early Learning operates 33 services across Blacktown, including 7 Outside School Hours Care services. We support children and families through high quality education and care that helps them feel connected, supported and safe. As an OSHC Activity Assistant, you support the day to day operation of the service and work with children aged 5 to 13 years. You supervise group activities, help deliver planned programs, set up and pack away equipment, assist with meals, and supervise children to and from school. You help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and support children’s wellbeing, comfort and participation throughout the day. Your work shapes children’s experiences before school, after school and during vacation care. You build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, provide friendly customer service, and contribute ideas for activities that support learning and development. You work as part of a team that values trust, honesty, respect and courtesy. Enjoy flexible casual hours that fit around the school day and the support of an experienced team. Through training, mentoring and day to day experience, you build skills while making a positive difference for local children and families. If you are energetic, reliable and caring, and enjoy working with children, this role could be a great fit for you. At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with: • a casual role with one of Australia's largest councils • an entry level salary commencing at $31.0232 per hour, plus 25% casual loading • 12% superannuation and competitive leave entitlements • ongoing training and development support • access to Fitness Passport, social clubs and wellbeing programs.
