The Business Adminstration Support Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

To lead and support Administration Officers whilst managing and co-ordinating Mackay Hospital Health Service backfill and relief administration requirements. The role requires leave management, mandatory training, and skill development for casual and permanent reliever portfolio staff, undertaking AO3 recruitment, performance management, quality improvement initiatives and other matters relevant to casual administration pool and reliever staff portfolio. This is an on-call position that requires you to work a rotational roster within the Business Administration Support Services, Manager team.

About the Team

Business Administration Support Services (BASS) supports work area within the Mackay Base Hospital by providing appropriately skilled staff to backfill vacant administration positions to meet service delivery needs. Vacancies occur as a result of various forms of planned, unplanned or extended leave. BASS manages 16.2 administration ‘reliever' positions and a large administrative casual pool who are utilised to provide backfill and additional administrative support where necessary throughout the Mackay Base Hospital.
