About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Policy Officer working on the data centres and energy workstreams. As the Policy Officer, you will support the development of sound policy advice to government. Your work will directly contribute to key Infrastructure NSW products, including the State Infrastructure Strategy. Additionally, you will play a critical role in providing timely and strategic advice at the request of senior ministers and Infrastructure NSW leadership. Some of the key accountabilities for the role include: Supporting the analysis of data centre and energy infrastructure issues to inform Infrastructure NSW’s advice to government. Undertaking research, including applying critical-thinking techniques, to support the development of policies and initiatives across a range of infrastructure topics covered in the 2022 State Infrastructure Strategy. Providing program management support to ensure the efficient operation of the workstream and coordination with other government agencies, including coordinating working groups and committee meetings. Supporting the development of a clear, accurate and timely advice to wide-ranging audiences, including written and verbal advice, and supporting the preparation of executive briefs, cabinet submissions and other collateral as requested by the manager. About You We are seeking an individual with an understanding of infrastructure issues, including knowledge of NSW Government policies and the broader industry context. The ideal candidate will also hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and have demonstrated capacity to undertake analysis on complex infrastructure-related matters.
