What you'll be doing The Float Pool at Coffs Harbour Hospital is a flexible nursing workforce that supports safe staffing and high‑quality care across diverse clinical areas. Registered Nurses in this team work across multiple wards—medical, surgical, sub‑acute, and specialty units—providing adaptable, evidence‑based care and helping manage fluctuating patient acuity and activity. The role demands strong clinical judgement, rapid adjustment to new environments, and effective prioritisation and escalation aligned with NSW Health systems. Float Pool nurses collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to patient‑centred care, and participate in a rotating seven‑day roster covering all shift types. The position suits nurses who are adaptable, motivated, and confident working in dynamic settings. It offers broad clinical exposure, opportunities to develop versatile skills, and the chance to support junior staff while fostering a positive, accountable workplace culture.
