About the role

Exciting opportunities are available for Registered Nurses to join our Children's ward, with both permanent and temporary positions available.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, timely and high-quality nursing care to children and adolescents with a range of acute and complex health needs. You will work closely with children, their families and carers to deliver compassionate, family-centred care and support the best possible outcomes for every child.

You will be supported to build your confidence and capability in paediatric nursing, with opportunities to work alongside experienced clinicians and further develop your clinical skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based and family-centred nursing care to infants, children and adolescents

• Work collaboratively with children, families and carers, medical, nursing and allied health professionals

• Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments and recognise, respond to and escalate changes in a child’s condition

• Develop, implement and evaluate individualised plans of care in partnership with children and their families

• Provide education, support and reassurance to children and their families throughout their hospital journey

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety

What we’re looking for

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

• Minimum 12 months paediatric nursing experience

• Strong communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills

• A motivated team member with an interest in paediatric nursing and caring for children and their families
