About this role

The Rehabilitation Case Manager (RCM) is accountable for identifying and providing early intervention services including: • Management of complex cases for injury or illness to achieve satisfactory outcomes for both the employee and the agency • Support employees to remain at work or return to work as quickly and safely as possible • Coordinate rehabilitation services, including appointment of providers, liaison with medical professionals, and engagement with Comcare or other stakeholders • RCMs may be responsible for developing, monitoring, reviewing policies or guidelines, programs and systems which impact workplace rehabilitation and promoting mental health supports and wellbeing initiatives.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Early Intervention and Case management: Develop, coordinate and monitor early intervention, rehabilitation and return to work strategies • Stakeholder engagement: Work with managers, employees, allied health professionals, and external providers including Comcare • Policy & legislative compliance: contribute to the planning and development of the department’s rehabilitation management system (RMS) and compliance with the SRC Act and relevant WHS legislation • Reporting & records: Maintain accurate, confidential records; produce data and reports; support policy development • Wellbeing support: Contribute to wellbeing programs, incident response, and hazard management • Personal development: establish personal work goals/training, set and meet work priorities, develop and maintain professional competence, seek feedback through Personal Development Agreement
