SAP HR Functional Expert | Contract | Brisbane

We are seeking an experienced SAP HR Functional Expert to support a large and complex SAP HR & Payroll environment within the Queensland Government.

Working within a specialist HR team, you will deliver functional analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, support, and stakeholder engagement across SAP HCM and Payroll on SAP S/4HANA. A key focus will be supporting critical Payroll Optimisation Program (POP) initiatives, system enhancements, upgrades, and BAU support.

Key Responsibilities • SAP HR & Payroll functional support and configuration. • Design, build and implement system enhancements and defect fixes. • Configure Payroll, PA, OM, PD, ESS and MSS modules. • Support Payroll Optimisation initiatives, including Awards standardisation and Timesheet-to-Pay automation. • Conduct testing, documentation and stakeholder engagement. • Investigate and resolve complex Payroll and HR system issues. • Support integrations with HR-related business applications.

Essential Skills & Experience • Strong SAP HR and Payroll functional consulting experience. • Proven Payroll configuration expertise, including rules and schemas . • Experience analysing business requirements and delivering SAP solutions. • Strong documentation, testing and stakeholder management skills. • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable • Queensland Government experience. • 7+ years SAP HR/Payroll experience. • SAP HR upgrades, support packs and enhancement pack experience. • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Payroll Control Centre, SAP Datasphere and SAP BTP.
