About the Business - Recreational Fishing Authority The Recreational Fishing Authority is the South Australian Government's central authority for recreational fishing policy, reform and strategic coordination. The Authority supports the delivery of government priorities and election commitments by providing expert policy advice, leading stakeholder engagement and working collaboratively across government, industry and the community to strengthen and grow the recreational fishing sector. Through a coordinated, evidence-based approach, the Authority contributes to sustainable recreational fishing outcomes that deliver social, economic and community benefits for South Australia.

Role Details The Senior Executive Officer plays a critical role in supporting the effective operation of the Authority by providing trusted coordination, business management and advisory support to the Head and Director of the Recreational Fishing Authority. Operating with a high degree of initiative, discretion and professionalism, the role contributes to the effective governance, administration and performance of the Authority and supports the timely delivery of its priorities and commitments. The role acts as a key point of coordination across government, industry and stakeholder networks, facilitating collaboration, managing competing priorities and ensuring business operations are delivered efficiently and effectively. The role contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and service excellence, enabling the Authority to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.

Special Conditions

• The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.

• The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.

• Some work outside of normal hours may be required.

• This role requires a National Criminal History check.

• Security Clearance (including Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1, Negative Vetting Level 2, Positive Vetting)
