Senior Housing Advisor (Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence)

About this role

As a Senior Housing Advisor (Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence) - AO6 in our Specialist Response Team, you'll help strengthen housing responses for people experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence, supporting safer and more sustainable housing outcomes across Queensland.

Working within Housing and Homelessness Services, you'll collaborate with Housing Service Centres, High Risk Teams, specialist services and community organisations to support customers with complex housing and safety needs. Your work will contribute to integrated, person-centred responses that recognise the impacts of trauma, vulnerability, diversity and disadvantage.

This role combines specialist expertise, collaboration and leadership. You'll provide advice on complex matters, support frontline teams to respond effectively to customer needs, and work across the service system to improve access to housing and support services.

You could be helping coordinate housing outcomes for customers facing immediate safety risks, partnering with specialist services to address barriers to housing, contributing to practice improvements, or supporting initiatives that build capability across the housing network. Through your work, you'll help create pathways to safety, stability and long-term wellbeing for vulnerable Queenslanders.

In this role, you will:

• Work with housing teams and service providers to support customers to access safe, secure and sustainable housing.

• Provide specialist advice and guidance on responses to domestic, family and sexual violence.

• Build and maintain productive partnerships across specialist and mainstream support services.

• Contribute to the development and review of practice frameworks, resources and service initiatives.

• Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes and emerging issues.

• Support continuous improvement through innovation, problem-solving and evidence-based decision-making.

• Demonstrate leadership by fostering professionalism, accountability and collaboration.

You'll be well suited to this role if you:
