What you will do as the Senior Information Management Officer
The Information Management & Technology Services (IMTS) branch expertly delivers easy to use and reliable business solutions that support the ACCC in meeting their objectives. The key priorities for the branch are to:
• Utilise technology so our agency can protect consumers and cultivate competition across Australia’s economy. • Launch technologies that solve critical business issues and create new regulatory capacities. • Develop agency data assets that drive responsive and effective regulatory outcomes. • Provide consistent, reliable, and secure ongoing IT Services to the whole agency, including the support hybrid work. • Foster a diverse and high-performing workforce underpinned by collaborative and flexible ways of working.
The IMTS branch plays a pivotal role in developing the technology behind Australia’s first National Anti-Scam Centre . A multi-year project to make Australia one of the hardest global targets for scammers. The IMTS branch is also leading several exciting transformative programs of work that will enhance the employee experience, contribute to the agency being digital and data driven and deliver efficient business processes.
The ACCC operates multiple information management systems across both cloud and on-premise services. The Information Management team is responsible for building agency-wide best practice in information management and developing our processes and technologies to keep pace with business requirements.
We are seeking someone to join the Information Management team as an information management specialist and systems support for the ACCC workforce. The candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience with information management requirements for Australian Government Agencies, and system administration. They will work closely with the Assistant Director to develop and document a range of advice across records, information and data management.
Responsibilities of this role also include working closely with our IT Systems and Support, for issues analysis and user-support of the ACCC’s key information and data management systems.
As the Senior Information Support Officer working under broad guidance, you will:
• Monitor and address support requests through shared email accounts and the ACCC’s ICT service desk tool. • Contribute to work on the development, improvement and identification of gaps in our information management systems, in alignment with Australian Government requirements. • Contribute to the ongoing design, implementation and administration of records management systems and related information services. • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders across core business to strive towards best practice information management. • Build and sustain relationships with our IT Service and Support teams for issues analysis, testing and solution development. • Aid the day-to-day management of policies, procedures and resources in support of records and information management activities. • Provide high-level oral and written reports on key projects you are supporting. • Undertake personal exemplary information management to document your business activities.
