Role details

The Hinterland Mental Health Service at the Moranbah Community Mental Health Centre is seeking applications from a Senior Occupational Therapist or Senior Psychologist or Senior Social Worker or Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

• As a member of the Hinterland Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS), this position will deliver high quality evidence based clinical services to consumers presenting with mental health issues in a rural setting.

• This will include intake/triage, clinical assessments, evidence based therapeutic interventions and treatments as well as case management, group/family work across the service's programs as required.

• This position reports operationally to the Team Leader, Hinterland Mental Health Service, and professionally reports through the CCS Program Manager/Allied Health Director Mental Health and AODS to Discipline Director in the MHHS.

About the Team

This position is part of the Hinterland Mental Health Service, located in Moranbah (200km west of Mackay and provides outreach mental health services to Clermont, Dysart, Middlemount and Glenden. There is the expectation that successful applicants would travel to provide outreach to above-mentioned locations and to Mackay for training and/or professional supervision on an ongoing basis.
