About this role

• Design and configure for storage and backup systems

Our client, a Federal Government department based in Majura Park, ACT, that is responsible for signals intelligence, requires the services of a Storage Administrator for a 12 + 12 month contract.

Duties of the Storage Administrator:

• Design, configure and document storage and backup systems.

• Perform deployments, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and administration functions for storage arrays, associated SAN and enterprise backup systems.

• Implement SAN infrastructure/architecture and Cisco MDS SAN switches.

• Deploy configure and manage enterprise storage arrays.

• Troubleshoot and restore storage systems after failures and issues.

Skills and Experience - Storage Administrator:

• Storage techs, SAN and NAS and protocols such as iSCSI, FC and FCoE.

• Managing storage infrastructure, SAN infrastructure and backup infrastructure.

• Understanding of data replication technologies and schemas.

• Holds an understanding of programming languages.

• Knowledge of operating systems.

• Strong understanding of analytics software.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience implementing and administrating Hitachi Vantara and Pure Storage storage systems, Commvault backup systems, and Cisco MDS SAN switching.

• STMG 5

• ITOP 4

• USUP 5
