About the role

This is a Full Time Fixed Term position until 10/09/2027

The role provides specialist planning advice to support the future use, management and disposal of surplus government property. It undertakes strategic planning analysis, prepares reports and recommendations, and contributes to planning projects aligned with government priorities.

The position builds strong relationships with stakeholders, manages consultants and multidisciplinary teams, and provides expert advice on planning policy and legislative requirements. It also supports project delivery, procurement activities and the achievement of team objectives.

What we’re looking for

You’re someone who:

• Effectively manages small to medium-sized projects, delivering outcomes on time, within scope and within budget.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

• At least five years' experience in town planning or a similar property-related role, providing complex advice to senior management and key stakeholders.

• Strong knowledge of government legislation, including the Planning and Environment Act 1987, along with experience building effective stakeholder relationships.

• A tertiary qualification in Town Planning ( mandatory ).
