Working with us

Competitive remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value from $593,720 (L13) to $858,538 (L27) (Paid pro-rata for engagement period or part time employee) comprising:

Requirements

• Appointment as a Rural Generalist SMO (Level 18 to Level 27) will require one or more of the following advanced skills as specified by the Colleges (ACRRM Advanced Specialised Training (AST) or RACGP - Rural Generalist Fellowship): Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Remote Medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Small Town General Practice, Population Health, Academic Practice, Anaesthetics or Obstetrics considered.

• Or possession of a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM). Relevant experience across a broad field of Emergency Medicine.

• Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.

• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.

• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.

• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.

• Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.

• A period of probation may apply.
