Achieve Something Great This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Social Work professional to guide and support a dedicated team at Bankstown Hospital. The role is responsible for providing professional leadership, strategic direction, and operational management to Social Work staff, ensuring high-quality, consumer-centred care for patients and their carers. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving service excellence, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with SWSLHD policies, relevant legislation, professional standards, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. * Lead and manage a multidisciplinary Social Work team within a busy acute hospital setting. * Drive the delivery of high-quality social work services that support positive patient and carer outcomes. * Provide professional supervision, mentorship, and development opportunities for Social Work staff. * Ensure service delivery aligns with SWSLHD policies, legislative requirements, and professional standards. * Contribute to strategic planning, service improvement initiatives, and the ongoing development of social work practice across the hospital. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Work leader who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and driving positive outcomes for patients, carers, and the wider community. * Demonstrated experience leading and managing Social Work teams within a healthcare setting. * Strong clinical expertise, including postgraduate experience requiring highly developed assessment, care planning and counselling skills, and a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. * Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and support the professional development of staff. * Sound knowledge of NSW Health policies, relevant legislation, professional standards, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
