Employment Type: Visiting Medical Officer Position Classification: Visiting Medical Officer Requisition ID: REQ686073 Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicated Visiting Medical Officer in Advanced Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgery to join our team! The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Advanced Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgery is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services within the State-wide RPAH Peritonectomy Program and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) as required. The Peritonectomy Program at RPAH forms a core component of the broader Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgical Program on the RPAH campus, which is recognised as a centre of excellence for multidisciplinary clinical and academic units. The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development. Position is currently available. The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), including a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with post fellowship training in Peritonectomy surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
